Amit Deutsch recently graduated from Berkeley with a degree in psychology. His interest in the mind and the effects of group mentalities began in high school when he started interviewing Holocaust survivors and publishing their stories. His talk focuses on the roles that narratives play in perpetuating both group and interpersonal conflicts and how individuals can come to see the difference between people as they appear in our narratives and people as they really are.
